Bowling For a Cause
Franklin Family Entertainment Center in Franklin, TN is proud to be hosting the 6th annual BrightStone BOWLABILITY where people are “Teaming Up For SUCCESS” on August 11 and 12. Benefitting BrightStone, this is one of their largest fundraiser each year. So here’s the deal…
COME HAVE SOME FUN BOWLING WITH YOUR FRIENDS, ALL WHILE RAISING MONEY FOR A WORTHY CAUSE!
Okay, so here’s their background. BrightStone is an organization dedicated to working with adults (21 and over) with developmental disabilities and their families. They provide training for job skills, academics, life skills, computer skills, health and nutrition, and so much more, along with educating the community and making it aware of these individuals that are so loving and special.
So why is Franklin Family Entertainment Center hosting a bowling fundraiser for BrightStone? That’s easy. Not only is it a worthy cause, but BrightStone receives no government help. Their money comes ⅓ from tuition, ⅓ from grants and private & corporate foundations, and ⅓ from FUNDRAISING. Guess what, this is BrightStone’s largest fundraiser of the year, so they are relying on you to show up at Franklin Family Entertainment Center to have some fun.
Having fun, that’s not so hard is it? Just gather up five of your buddies so you have a team of six and then sign up. How easy is that? There is a sign up fee of $150 per team, but if you think about it, $150 divided by six people is nothing compared to what you would spend one night going out with your buddies. Plus, you will feel good knowing that you are helping to provide adults with special needs a purpose by supporting BrightStone and all the great work they do.
In addition to signing up your team to bowl at Franklin Family Entertainment Center’s big event, why not hit up your co-workers for pledge money. (Hey, sidenote, a lot of businesses match donations so be generous and turn in your paperwork at work to double the money for BrightStone.) I got an idea, make it your team’s personal goal to have each of you raise $100. Or you could make it a competition and see who can raise the most. Get that competitive nature you have in gear! You know you wanna.
You can visit BrightStone’s website or Franklin Family Entertainment Center’s site at www.franklinfec.com or www.franklinlanes.com to get more information about the event and to print out a team registration form. Or you can go to www.firstgiving.com/brightstone/BOWLABILITY2014 to preregister also. Hey, while you’re at it, think of a cool name for your team like “The Bowlinators” or simply the “BrightStone Rocks” team. But whatever you call yourselves, just know that BrightStone and all the families they help, really appreciate you helping to make their future a bright one 🙂
