No New Year’s Eve Plans? How About Bowling?
Most people do one of three things for their New Year’s Eve celebration. 1. They reserve a table at a restaurant or bar for their party (I read that the Olive Garden in Times Square is charging $400 per person and they aren’t even serving their famous breadsticks). 2. They go over to a friend’s home and whoop it up (drink responsibly because I guarantee the cops will be out when you leave). 3. They stay at home (boring) and watch the ball drop in New York an hour earlier than Midnight here in Franklin, Tennessee on television and then go to bed. How about doing something different this year that is tons of fun and even family friendly…
Ring in the New Year at Franklin Family Entertainment Center!
For the low price of just $134.95 + tax for a traditional lane or $99.95 + tax for a Highway 66 lane (shorter with smaller balls), up to 6 people can enjoy an evening of food, fun and bowling. (That is a total price, NOT per person like at other places.) Bring your family or bring your friends and ring in the New Year with a strike or spare…try not to ring it in with a gutter ball.
Included in the New Year’s Eve bowling package is:
- Shoe Rental
- Unlimited bowling during your three hour time frame
- A 16” pizza (I’ve had it and trust me, it’s delectable.Mmmm!)
- A pitcher of soda
Not to sound like an infomercial, “But wait; there’s more!” Periodically throughout the evening, Franklin Lane’s popular Cosmic Bowling will be going on. We’re talking black lights and a swirling light show that moves to the beat of heart thumping music all while the lanes are glowing. If you haven’t experienced it before, once again, take my word for it, it is AWESOME!
Oh hey, earlier I mentioned unlimited bowling for up to six people during your timeframe. So here are the two time frames you can choose from to reserve your bowling lane. The first one is from 7pm – 10pm. That is a great choice for families with children who may get tired and can’t stay up until midnight or those of you who are not night owls and usually just watch the ball in New York drop on tv and go to bed.
The second timeframe for bowling is from 10:30pm – 2 am. This is for the true party animals who want to ring in the New Year at Midnight and then continue the party for a few more hours. (FYI, while a pitcher of soda is included, J’s Sports Grill also offers a full bar for those who want something a little stronger ;-).
And speaking of J’s Sports Grill, it has some huge televisions. Usually reserved for sports (shout out to the Seminoles and the Packer Backers), I bet if you asked really nicely, they just may turn the channel so you can see the ball drop in Times Square.
Okay, so this is being posted for all of you who have no plans yet and even those who were planning on staying home (maybe a little arm twisting will get you out of the house for some fun). Either way, the clock is ticking so run on over to Franklin Family Entertainment Center and pay to reserve your lane before they are all taken.
For more information about hours and location, please visit Franklin Family Entertainment Center’s website at www.franklinlanes.com or www.franklinfec.com. And don’t forget, the bowling alley will be open New Year’s Day also so the fun can continue on at the start of 2016.
