Tired of Seeing Your Kids on the Couch?
Not to stereotype, but do you have boys? Well if you do, and if they are anything like mine, have they spent a good chunk of their summer break sitting on the couch playing video games? Now, I know it’s hot outside (They remind me of that everytime I tell them to go out and play.), but I, for one, am sick of seeing them with their eyes glued to the television. Let me guess, they socialize with their friends by talking into a headset. (Thank you xbox live for inventing that…not.) Well Franklin Family Entertainment Center (FFEC) has the perfect solution to your dilemma.
Instead of your children playing football, basketball, baseball or any other sport available in video game form, how about taking them to Franklin Family Entertainment Center to participate in a sport for real. FFEC has over 26 bowling lanes with state of the art technology. Plus, as an added bonus, since you will be bowling with your family indoors, you won’t have to hear, “I don’t wanna. It’s too hot outside.” in that whiny voice we parents know all too well.
Here’s something else to think about, while you and your kids are enjoying some family fun time together at the bowling alley, you will also all be getting exercise. Hey, lifting a bowling ball and swinging your arm is like lifting weights, right?
So here’s the deal, if you visit Franklin Family Entertainment Center’s website at www.franklinfec.com, you will see they offer open bowling times everyday, but you may want to call ahead of time for lane availability in case a bowling league or special fundraising event is going on. That said, while you are making that phone call to the bowling alley, why not have your kids call their friends and see if they want to go too. (I’m pretty sure the other parents will be extremely grateful to you for getting their kids off the couch and video games.)
Okay, part of the fun with video games is the fact that you can choose your weapon (if you’re playing a war game or something). Bowling is no different; but you get to choose a ball rather than a weapon of mass destruction. FFEC has a ton of cool bowling balls for your family to choose from. We’re talking balls in multiple colors (you know you’re little princess wants the hot pink one), swirls, sparkles, neon bright, and the classic bowling ball we all know and love…basic black. Plus, the balls come in different weights and finger hole sizes so even the younger children in your family will be able to find one to play with.
So how cool will your kids think you are when you say, “Dude, turn off the television. I’m taking you bowling at Franklin Family Entertainment Center. Call your friends. It’s time to chose our balls.” You are so sneaky. Your kids think you are spending quality family time with them while having fun bowling. Well technically you are. But you also succeeded at getting your little ones off the couch and getting them to exercise. What a cool parent you are 🙂 Go ahead, pat yourself on the back.
Now stop reading this blog and gather your children up to head over to Franklin Family Entertainment Center. See ya at the lanes!
